Future of DEI? (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion)

What's the future of DEI?

This excellent thought piece by Ezra Klein articulates what I have been thinking about (I strongly encourage you to watch it). What is happening on the global stage is not new.

Over the past few weeks many people have been asking me about the state of DEI.

What I know from the history of civilization and revolutions is that regardless of "who" is in power, the real power is in the people.

Now is not the time to REACT. Now is the time to stay focused and grounded.

I understand that life, let alone the past few weeks, has been a very hard time for many marginalised groups. Painful. And we cannot afford to give into fear, which is such a clear tactic of those that abuse their power.

People keep people in power. People can take people out of power.

And we can also not give them our power.

I have been fascinated by Trump—an excellent case study in outdated models of leadership of command and control falsely protrayed as "strategy".

We must challenge and rewrite the rules on leadership in our organisations. Our next generation depends on it. Our future depends on it.

Got questions about how to redo how your organisation does leadership? One where leadership is based on empathy, partnerships and breaking the status quo?

Or want an IWD keynote that dynamically shifts how the audience thinks and feels themselves and Women's equality?

Please do reach out and send me an email at hello@winitha.com. I'd love to help.

I'd love to help.

One life. All in.
